Reel Sixty, Wedding films and Family Media Movies

Reel Sixty are a production company making DVD’s for Weddings and other corporate events. Quite apart from cover on the expensive kit needed to do their job, they were also concerned about the professional risks of failure to deliver what their clients were paying for, that is the perfect capture of the event on film or tape.

Fortunately we were able to source the perfect answer to their demands and needs; a combined policy specially written for the Media Industry which combined Damage and Liability including professional Indemnity, all at a reasonable premium. Even better, this was a continuous cover payable by interest free instalments until t...

Recent Help for Charities

Over the years, Foster Leighton has developed an expertise in providing risk management and insurance solutions to Charities and other “Not-for-Profit” organisations. Both involved the fate of a large inheritance, and had been dragging on interminably because of problems in winding up the Estate. That is until Foster Leighton became involved.

The circumstances involved a large property. On the death of the ow...

Not all Insurance Brokers are the same

We contacted a substantial family owned company who were dealing with a large provincial broker and had done so for many years. The Managing Director was reluctant to move because he thought:

o        As he was already dealing with a large provincial broker he felt he would be getting both the best price and service available

o        There was no new "revolutionary" approach to insurance

Devon County Show

Devon County Show

Foster Leighton was recently asked to insure All Risks of loss or damage to a set of jumbo jet Airport Passenger steps. Nothing especially hazardous about that you might think, until you find that the enquiry came from the Devon Agricultural Association, organisers of the annual Devon County Show at Westpoint, near Exeter.

The steps were to be used as a prop by the Bolddog Lings Freestyle Motorcycle Display Team who were proposing to jump over it from a ramp as part of their display. Not unnaturally, the owners of the steps, Exeter
